4 Ways To Provide Your Source Docs:
#1) ELECTRONIC— via our website portal
- If you have not already set up your secure portal, call us at 419.332.2500 or email info@orchardaccounting.com to initiate the setup. You will then receive an email to set up your account; create a password and you’re all set!
- Send your documents thru the portal, as well as the Tax Prep Questionnaire and signed Engagement Letter.
#2) USPS
- Mail us your documents, including the Tax Prep Questionnaire and signed Engagement Letter.
- We HIGHLY recommend using Priority Mail for tracking purposes. We are not responsible for items not received.
#3) In Office- Open Mon.-Thurs. 9:00-4:30, Friday: 9:00-2:30
- Bring your tax documents into the office building and speak with the receptionist. Make sure to include your filled out Tax Prep Questionnaireand signed Engagement Letter
#4) OFFICE DROP BOX—available 24 hours a day!
- Simply drive up to the box, deposit your envelope of documents, together with the Tax Prep Questionnaire and signed Engagement Letter, into the drop box and drive away—contactless and convenient!
3 Way To Receive Your Finished Returns:
#1) ELECTRONIC— via our website portal
- Your preparer or other personnel will contact you when the documents have been added for your review.
- Sign your 8879(s) and return thru portal.
- Payment can be received thru our website as well. Service provider fees for credit card payments will apply, no fees for e-check or debit card payments.
- This option is typically recommended only for clients that also uploaded their tax documents via the secure website portal.
#2) USPS
- You must sign the 8879 form & mail that back to us, preferably with your payment, before we can e-file. Again, we HIGHLY recommend using Priority Mail for tracking purposes. We are not responsible for items not received.
- Unless otherwise requested, your finished return and your tax documents will be mailed to you. If for some reason we are unable to mail, other arrangements can be made. Additional fees will apply if this option is selected.
#3) SCHEDULE A PICKUP
- We will call you to schedule a pick up time when your return is finished.
- When you arrive you will be asked to review your return, pick up your source docs, sign your 8879 e-filing form and pay your bill. If applicable, both the taxpayer and spouse must sign the 8879.
To Check the Status of Your Refund:
(21 days or more after your return has been electronically filed)
- Visit www.irs.gov/refund
- Select "Check My Refund Status" in the lower right side of the webpage.
- Follow the prompts to enter:
- Your Social Security number
- Your filing status
- The exact amount of your refund
